Panels

One of our key design tips is to ensure that you choose your shape carefully- different designs offer different amounts of promotional space. A standard triangular table talker offer three panels, a star offers eight, and there’s many options in between. Choose your shape wisely, based on how many designs you’ll be creating. Download a free template once you’ve chosen your shape.

Branding

Whether you’re advertising a new product, a promotion or just your business as a whole, don’t forget to make your branding an integral part of your design. Ensure that your logo features prominently and take care to create artwork that reflects the message for your company. For example, a luxury brand should be conveyed with rich colour, glossy finish and appropriate fonts.

Colour

Depending on your shape, you could have up to eight separate panels! If you’re promoting different offers or products it’s a good idea to distinguish between the different panels with clear and contrasting colour schemes, to ensure customers don’t assume all the panels are the same from a glance. For example, using a blue and green colour scheme for one panel, then a red and yellow for the adjacent one will indicate clearly that each panel deserves the viewer’s attention.

Text

Be mindful that customers will probably be glancing at your table talker, rather than actively picking it up and examining it. With this in mind, make sure that your text is bold, big and legible from a meter or so away. Ensure any headings are eye-catching and grab their attention!

Space

Try not to overfill a panel – a headline, picture and price (if applicable) is probably enough for a hospitality promotion. If you’re creating something that’s more text-heavy, like a price list, ensure the headings are clear and uncluttered, drawing the eye and encouraging further detailed examination.

Finishing options

Consider our wide range of finishing options to give your table talker or tent card a truly eye-catching design. Upgrade to a glossy paper stock, implement some foiling or maybe even some Spot UV to really draw the eye.
